JULY - EAT . DRINK . ENJOY
We lead into the month with one of our favourite small plates and a gluggable Grenache de grès with a Spanish wine tasting and more to look forward to!
EAT
Speck & Italian Melon
Aromatic, elegant, intensely smokey with aromas of wood and juniper berries is how we’d describe this outstandingly cured ham from Northern Italy. Paired with the season's sweetest harvest of Italian melon, marinated in grapefruit mint & lovage and there you have it, simply delicious!

Domaine la Grange St André, Grenache de Grès, Vin de France, 2020.
After their previous career working as a social worker in Lyon, Olivier Pichon moved and settled in the small village of Souvignargues which is nestled between the Cevennes and the Camargue in Languedoc.
Olivier farms four hectares of vines organically which are planted to Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah and Grenache Blanc, aged from 10 to 45 years. All grapes are hand-picked and Olivier vinifies in the simplest, most natural and non-interventionist way possible.
Grenache de Grès is made with a 45 year old single vineyard parcel of Grenache that is hand harvested, then vatted in whole bunches for three to four days. It is then aged in steel vats for seven months. This wine is completely unfiltered with no added sulphur.
The aroma is bursting with notes of strawberry, blackcurrant & plenty of other berries! Very light in body and colour, this is the perfect wine for the warmer months. Enjoy it chilled, it's insanely gluggable!!!
